Just noticed its @ 81a (John) who did the Wilmas resto.

Think £8k isnt far from the mark,

 

How does it work regarding title? Having a V5 does not make the garage the legal owner, just the registered keeper. If the owner comes knocking on your door after you've paid out £8k, it could get very messy.

 

i'm sure john would have sorted it? possibly just not divulging full info on e-bay though, still i dunno how anyone who sent a bus in for resto would ever let it go so far as to just give it up? mad.

 

cars maybe, but a 8k rare bus? i'd remortgage before i lose my van

 

If they won't pay, can't be traced, a garage has the legal right to sell and recoup their losses. If the car's worth more, they must pay the balance to the owner.
