I am considering getting one. Would the clutch claw be defeated by just undoing the external bolts at the bottom of the pedals? Nice and quiet low tech 13mm spanner
I agree. Nowadays they are stolen on flatbeds. I would hide a mobile phone and install a tracking app. put it on auto answer as well. I have also a tilt sensor on my vans and the alarm is wired to my musical air horn so I doubt anyone would steal it with "La Cucharacha" blaring off.
Here's a design. Made from spring steel from spare front suspension steel and an old steel clamp. The 'Gray Grabber'! Gives you an idea if your thinking of knocking something up. I must have spent longer looking for steering locks on ebay than it took to make. - jdi Added security bolts to the clutch and brake. I know the low loader won't care
I found a steering 'crook lock' will also fit to the clutch or brake pedal by snapping the clasp part shut around the pedal shaft. Bought mine used on fleebee £8
i won a SafeTPedal when they first launched for T2's. It was great and really sturdy.... but i sold it as it was a faff and not practical having to have my legs hanging out the drivers side to fit it on a busy road. I also have a wheel clamp which spent most of its life cracking my ankle bone in the hallway.... now in the cellar. i'm of the 'if someone's going to nick it, they will regardless' opinion now.
