  1. Is there any mountain bikers on here ? I only ask as I've started bikeing again but I'm looking for good routes to ride !
I live in tamworth so Cannock chase is on my list and local ,also what bike do you use as I've gone and brought a carrera valour not a bad bike but in the bikeing world it's seen as a starter bike for the price me personal i will change the forks so I have lock off at a later date .

Is there any other forums people are on for bikeing ?
Just thought I'd see if there is anyone on here, this my bike cheers ash [IMG]

The only other place I go is hopwas woods it's not bad but not really a good track

I live in Lichfield and can confirm that there is no where around here remotely interesting for Mountain Biking.

The Chase looks good - avoid the Brown route - even on a good bike its hairy.

  5. I'll keep that in Mind lol like you say I've been looking and there ain't a lot all I've got to do now is get down the chase I may go Sunday if I'm not working will be bloody cold thow

  6. Hello mate, I have done the 'follow the dog' route many times - terrific day out it is too. It is basically an 8 mile loop with a bit of everything in it and you can just keep going round 'til you've had enough. As long as you're reasonably fit, it is quite do-able - my youngster done it for the first time when she was 8 years old!!!

  7. Ow right I've heard of the dog walk route there but did not know a lot about it , I'm fairly fit I may have to stop once or twice lol but I get there in the end .
I started bikeing with a friend of mine to keep fit but getting board with riding around the streets and he is now laying off it all due to the weather were as I want a muddy off road track

  8. Forums for mtbs "singletrackworld" and more general cycling "bikeradar" (has seperate forum sections prob one for mtbing) I'll leave you to google them for exact link

Dont know of any routes round your way, if you were to ask me about the South Downs, where i live that would be a different matter.

Done loads in the past including all over europe and still occasionally out at the weekend.

    Hope that helps

  9. Not exactly on your doorstep but an excuse for a weekend away - Gisburn Forest in Lancashire is great;

All levels of routes - I'm a girly beginner but the ones I've done have been lots of fun.

  10. Cheers people I'll have a look round I think I've been reading about the Lancaster route!
I may join a forum but first I'll look over it to see what it's about :)

  11. And not too fussy about traveling to a route would be better if the bay was on the road,
    What bikes you riding then

Although I haven't been offroad on my bike for ages I still have it and use it for work.

Most of my offroad hours have been spent on the IOW.
