Thats nice. I like the two tone, I want to do an orange and cream one for my van and a black and red for my dads beetle. I have managed to make phone sock in double crochet and an eighth of a scarf in treble. However with the scarf it was getting wider as I was adding a stitch (going into the turning chain at the end) but once realising that stopped but I am occasionally losing stiches and not sure how as when I inspect it I haven't missed any so on the occasional row I have to go into the turning chain to make the no's back up. No idea why its happening or how?
We'll have to have a TLB crochet camp! There are a couple of us who want to learn, and 72Wilma crochets, as does Mrs @MorkC68 !
Not crocheting but I thought this was pretty funny http://www.huffingtonpost.com/gregory-patrick/knitting-ninja_b_4143644.html
I understand that pmacs49's missus is a professional in this area, she might give classes at such a camp, you never know! I know she's written a book on the subject...
Here's her book http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/1861089708 I've seen the stuff she makes, beautiful, I understand Noo Noo gets decorated with it all, next time you see pmacs49 it's worth a visit to his bay.
There is an actual Beaver Camp, girls only camping organised by the girlies http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/the-inaugural-tlb-beaver-camp.25914/
Thought I would update with my hooky indevours. I bought a new hook (was using a plastic one and bought a posh one) my crochet doesnt seem as tight and constricted using that one, in fact the new hook has made it much easier and more enjoyable (clover amour) My scarf is finished and the rest of it is straight, I think I was picking up an extra stitch at the side. I have finished one blanket and am now partway through another kingsize multicolour granny stripe one. I have also learnt granny squares. I am on a roll with it all now and flying through, my house and van are going to be crocheted to death!
I have made progress too I popped into the new indoor market in Sheffield the other day for a quick look round, and purchased a crochet hook and a teeny tiny ball of wool. Surprisingly mr moosey didn't freak out too much when I showed him what I'd bought (1st wife was a knitting nutter and I think he's been traumatised for life ...)
