  1. Seems there’s been some sort of incident in south London. Police report shooting a man with a knife.

  2. Hope they killed him save paying to keep them locked up, then release so they can do it again !

I think it's time we locked up all on the watch list, I bet he's someone they knew about

  6. They always seem to. Makes me wonder how many nutters are actually out there. I bet we’d be terrified if we knew the truth.

let’s hope the injured people weren’t seriously hurt.

I think you would be talking differently if one of your friends or family , god forbid was hacked to death by someone on the list

  8. I think I can say what I like, I've served my country sailed to war, the day we lock people up on a hunch without proven reason we no longer are a democratic/free society.

  9. I’ve seen a report that says he was under surveillance and that it was under cover officers who shot him. Which does kind of beg the question, if the police believe someone is dangerous enough to need an armed watch put on them, why can’t they be taken off of the streets before they hurt someone? They must have some evidence else why are they trailing him?

Im fed up of reading that these killers are on a list and are known to the security forces, you're probably right we should wait till they kill innocent people before we act

  11. That's not what I said. A number are taken off the streets as soon as the security services have sufficient evidence to do so and that's the approach that a free society should adopt.

London underground killers known to the security forces not taken off the street
London bus killers know to the security forces not taken off the street
Rigbys killers know to security forces not taken off the street
London bridge killers known to security forces not taken off the street
Westminster killer know to security forces not taken off the street
Manchester bomber know to security forces not taken off the street
    Etc etc
If we had locked them up 91 people would be alive today :(

  13. It looks like he was being followed. It's a huge difference from being on a list to doing something that warrants shooting.
Remember extinction rebeilon they are the *list*. locking people up is an option but I'm very uneasy with it unless they do something worth jail time I will however say they should be in isolation when in Nick as the recruitment of new members is far too easy in prison.
The police have done a fantastic job there bosses maybe not so good

But these people do not break the law until they kill

  15. Now I don't normally use Wikipedia as a source of reference but according to them in the last 20 years the number is 91 not the 200 you quote.
Equally the case for some right wing nutters. Speeding drunk drivers who kill, etc ...

Begs the question which "potential" murderers do we lock up.

  16. Sadly you've answered the question everyone deep down knows you cannot just lock people up. I don't think you can undo the brain washing that some of them had so what to do ?
That's the problem with terrorism no uniforms so you put the gun down and your just a normal member of the public with iffy browser history

Seems to me that these people did exactly what some might benefit from.

Those foreigners coming here and killing people. Somehow we need to stop this influx of foreigners!

now I wonder who might gain from that line of thinking, or am I being too cynical?

You know full well that the majority are British born Muslims I'm saying too many killers are known to the police and security forces as threats and something needs to be done if not lock em up then what??
