Is this in response to my question about whether mains cold pressure is potentially too high when set next to a DHW feed to a pump?
I would make a proper change if I wasn't a "shamateur", or someone else would do it for us if this wasn't a minimal disruption brief!
The old boy is 90, so while being pretty damn capable for his age, he just wants the magic to happen and within a reasonable cost and time frame ... At least this way he's only without hot water for however long it takes to whip out that compression T and hook up the new/prepared pipework.
(It's a three days every two weeks job as I travel from Stroud to London to "keep tabs" ...)

Unfortunately that’s not always the answer. If you haven’t got the flow rate due to small bore mains pipe you’re need to increase the pipe size ie diameter
