Im just taking photos of my Landmark to send off for Agreed Valuation with Carole Nash. Do I have to suggest my idea of its value, or just go by theirs? Has anyone else done it please? What were your Valuations? Any idea of the value of mine? I’m rubbish at this money lark! Thanks
I'm with A-plan... I told them what it's worth, then added the beetle where upon I told them how much it's worth. I upped this the year after due to becoming tax & MoT free!!
Problem is I don’t really know how much it’s worth! It’s solid and is rare conversion but no longer has the units, just a full width bed. It does however have a shag pile carpet and cushioned roof and doors
Go over the figure you think its worth Try £17.000 they will either accept or not, better to be over market value than below. They will require 6 photos, front back, both sides, engine and inside van.
How much do you have invested in it? How much would it cost to replace? How much would you accept if it was a total write off? Research Landmark prices online & base your figure on all the above. My van has an agreed value of £25k & beetle was £7.5k but is now £10k as of last year. I have just renewed both on a single policy with no quibbles
There has been a blue Landmark for sale with agreed Valuation of £30,000. His has been restored and has some more of the original features than mine. He doesn’t have the shag pile or fab wheels tho Ps @snotty im ignoring you
Just tell them what you value it at , then let them agree , as it’s a special I’d imagine you could put quite a high valuation on it . It’s how I did mine . 6 pictures, sides back front engine and interior I fink
I expect there is probably a secret agreed valuation limit on a T2 policy. Of course they wont tell you; so they probably can say "we insure 1000 campers all less than £30k agreed valuation. Every year one of those will be written off," so they gather £35 off everybody who asks for an agreed value up to £30k, put £30k in a pot, and use some of the extra £5 to insure against paying up £60k in the event of two claiming in the same year which is 1 in 9990000... on average. We all then pull numbers out of thin air and provided they are all agreeing less than (secret number) the insurers make money, even if two people make a claim.. Aak high, a Landmark is more irreplaceable.
Although these insurance companies say they are specialist classic vehicle insurers they know nothing of the real value of them so tell them what you want... if you want £30k agreed value then tell them that
I just thought of a silly number , submitted the pics and declaration . They accepted a valuation in excess of 20k - no marmite ... We all know it's nothing like that but what the hell Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
