Advice for a Newbie Please

    Anyway good luck with the van, I got mine 2 weeks ago and currently looking for an engine

  8. Well after a slow and noisy drive I'm back home, sorry i couldn't make cardinham, i stopped for fuel and some wanted to buy my van then and there!, a couple of campers flashed there lights at me on the A30 so that must officially make me part of the aircooled gang?!

    Tomorrow ill be changing the plugs, leads, points, air filter, oil filter, distributor cap+rotor arm, and check the timing, going to see if the Carbs are balanced also!, any advice before I do this would be appreciated thanks.

  13. Hi yeah I know cinders, the mother in law send me there sometimes to pick stuff up for her, what's up with your engine?
     
  14. I think the handbrake may need some adjustment too looking at the lever!
     
  15. I think it does aswell as it's almost struggling to hold on a slight incline!

    looks like you found a winner there man! i would love a panel, but alas, mine has windows.. one day..
    keep us posted on the progress, im looking forward to seeing where this goes.
     
  19. Yeah it was a really good find, have to say I wasn't really looking for one but I spotted it on way to a job and couldn't resist asking about it!, doing usual service stuff at the mo, im going to go for a complete colour change next summer, have to say I love it!
     
  20. Make sure while you are at it, that the fuel lines are all good and not the braided stuff :thumbsup:
