I wish i could find a unit with a landlady like that
Im glad its sold steve it would have been such a shame to cut it up
Yes she's pretty good TBH, straight as you like and all she wants is to get her rent and have a minimum of hassle. The longer you're their the happier she is hence the lack of rent increases. When the Marmite hit the fan for me, she even dropped the rent when I was struggling so I didn't give a unit up and hasn't put it back up again. Better the devil you know I guess.
She'll be happy when the van's gone, but only because she likes the place to look tidy and I parked it at a jaunty angle to tease her.
very happy to hear its not being chopped!!
still gutted i had nowhere to put it!
I have to say chopping steel with a grinder can get a bit dull so I'm glad too, but I would have done it if I had to.
so who bought it, anyone off here?
That is for me to know and whoever it might be to say, if indeed they are, or are to become, a user of this forum.
Hello guys, I have brought the van from Steve. Keep a look out for pictures and updates of her progress.
As this is my first project all tips and advice are welcome.
nice one welcome aboard..
is she petting you steve.....
get in there shes a lovely laddie
A lovely laddie? Reminds me of the joke my dad played on me when I was little and learning to read - sent me into the ladies loo pointing at the sign and saying it was for laddies.
Are you still using the same excuse for doing that today?
Take it back to him to repair it, that will make him and his land lady smile
Welcome to the clan phil
Thanks guys, looking forward to starting the mammoth task of bringing Iona (I have named her already) back to life. Plus adding a few custom twists.
you best make a good job of this one as all will be watching you well done don't think you done to bad there good start
Hey Phil - You've been talking to Uncle Dale? Found the paperwork today, I'll pop it in the post tomorrow. Was a bit of a mad weekend!
Dale has given me the ok to use a couple of his ideas, and I've got a few of my on bits, that I've been working on.
