I can deal with cost, but from this point on when discussing the project, that £5k, which is understandable....will now be referred to as £1K just to maintain harmony in the Silver household.
i would like to claim my prize as the slowest 2 litre with fuel injection please 25 plus seconds and no chance of faster - i could try but i'd probably use a full tank of fuel on the 1/4 mile.
I have access to a titanium casting facility I'll ask them what it will cost but I'm guessing it won't be cheap. Getting the part cast won't be much. It's the design and moulds which will cost the mega bucks
You would probably accelerate faster to 60 by taking out the fuel tank, sitting on it and exploding the petrol all in one go. You'd use less fuel, too.
Flat 8 for the fan I would have thought a fabbed welded steel jobbie would be better as long as its balanced or a 3D milled billet one . junkyard turbo or supercharged would be the cheaper way per bhp I would have thought but unless you can do stuff yourself its all gonna cost big bucks .I work with a guy who has just built a 2055cc type 1 motor for his bus ,decent spec must have cost excess of 3k as he built it himself and we did the machine work, its been rolling roaded and made 103 bhp.
