My viking resto, Now for sale

Discussion in 'Restorations' started by whereuromnosecity, Aug 16, 2011.

  1. Really wish I had read this thread before I bought my front inner valance:( repair panel..I ordered the wrong one months ago and only released tonight after reading this thread :hattip:

How is the work going now?

  2. Great thread - keep coming back to it. Does anyone watching this know of a resto thread where someone has actually fab-ed up the lower A-posts? I've got a passenger side one I'm desperate to get done so I can get my new valance and bulge back on. Have tried to order one from Schofields but experiencing trouble getting a reply re: shipping to my part of the world. I know its slightly thicker gauge steel and has a couple of tricky bends but I might have no option as body cuts just aren't available to me. Mines is that knackered it's not even any good for taking a template off really. Thanks in advance...

And made good the return lip for the front panel

and made a start on the other side, but this side needs for whole of the lip sorting out

  3. I knew buying the T25 was a bad idea, absolutely lovin the T25 and this had had a major effect of my desire the go anywhere near the bay at the moment
To be fair i have lost interest in it and i'm know really contemplating putting the bay up for sale:(
    Decisions decisions.....................

  4. Noooo... Fix the T2... And post lots of pic's.. How am I ever going to get mine on the road without your T2 resto thread :(

in fairness stu I've known you 3 or more years and i think one of the 1st days we met and i saw it i said you was mental..... it's easier when they work straight away innit? that said selling it means you've lost a bomb in cash and time.

You still lobbying for the 'stand up' to be recognised as an exercise?

i.e. stand up from sitting on the sofa, stand up from getting out of the car etc etc...

If so I reckon you must be on a healthy 20 to 25 stand up's per day.

    You machine.

  12. Hit nail on head there Rick, the T25 is a driver which makes all the difference, time and cash will be lost but i would like to think i'd get a good price for her, plus she's taught me a lot over the last 4 years

sell it and have fun in the 25, you can always buy an import and convert to rhd with your knowledge

  14. Thats my main driver, freeing up some cash to spend on the 25 and enjoying that with the kids etc

See if they were number 2's you would have doubled your exercise....

Maybe you need to pee like a girl.

  18. Well 2015 brings the resto into it's 5th year
And now that i have a decent place where the bus is stored i thought i'll get some work done

So the only panel i have left to fit is the front panel, so yesterday i set about some cosmetic surgery

This is the old face from a few years ago
    [IMG]

    and removed face off style
    [IMG]

    New face trial fitted

all the inner structure repaired and painted from last year

really pleased with how it's turned out and it's given the resto quite a big leap forward, still thinking of selling but still want to get all the welding done as it will help with any sale if i do go down that route
