have you tried Kieft n Klok? apart from that i am not sure there is really much of a way to persue things.
Have sent an email and am awaiting a response. I was hoping there might be members who knew people stateside that did these conversions for me to follow up.
Thats a bit of a needle and haystick question sadly. The states is rather big, if the guys at Kieft N Klok can pin down which state it was bought from that should help. But I would think they would have the info of whom they bought it from?
Is this it?? VW T2B at kieft en Klok: Its a bit Marmite but I remember this for sale on there plus previously on thesamba
Holy crap, that must be it! I did some homework on the engine through Porsche before I bought it and they advised it was a 2.0. The chap I bought it off had a 2.2 sticker in it and didn't believe me (thought it was just a tactic to knock some money off). Awesome, thanks for digging out!
shes a beauty mate, really subtle, the BOOM porka engine, real sleeper that! you got any more plans for it? looks like you got loads of head room with those buckets, is it tubbed at all?
No, not tubbed yet, though really it needs doing as she does scrape her arches regularly. Plans are more focussed on useability (and maybe a further cheeky drop once tubbed) so heating is a must, the exchanges on the engine aren't connected so I need to find someone that can do this, also an air con specialist to get that working. That said I'm always open to suggestions?!
Could be a good reason for a road trip! What would you suggest? There is approx a 1 foot gap where the exchanger stops and the internal pipes to the front start. I understand this part normally has a flap in it controlled from the dash, open letting warm air in, closed sending it straight out. The air con is missing the condenser/ radiator I believe so one would need to be sourced before it would work, it has the letters 'abc' on it, not sure if this is the manufacturer or the model. I see you've put discs on the rear of a van as well, that would also be of interest.
I'd have to see what's going on first hand... But probably go down the route of using the heat riser pods from a type 4 engine, and the original flexible ducts Bash it all together and see what happens
