Bp are a shareholder company, 41% Brits, 39% yanks with the other 21% from other countries - the CEO is a Brit but the chairman is Swedish!
had a right laff taday at boarder control , calais ,we met a couple from glazgee on hol , just like the bludde crankeez they were ,as they were going thru control , i said to bill ( one of the crankeez ) make the most of this , this might be the last time you get in , the customs chap even allowed himself a grin
So let me see if I have this right, all the places that inbreeding is rife also have bagpipes. Coincidence?
It's been illuminating on the radio today as the players get their 1 minute to say their last piece. To a man, the best the no campaign can manage is to repeat meaningless slogans like "better together". I think a great many scots will feel the no campaign is addressed to brainless idiots, which it probably is. The Yes bunch on the other hand were actually talking about the details at least. The no campaign looks extremely dodgy from a Scottish point of view - why would you believe westminster promises when history shows they always break them? I'd still vote yes and take a risk, the scots won't suddenly die if they vote yes. Nothing much will change either way, just more hollow words and broken promises as is the way of politics.
There will be special re-education camps for them with this as their motto "Wirk mak's ye free" or "Déanann an obair tú saor in aisce"
The Yes bunch have dodged all of the tricky questions, I've not heard them detail anything, especially their wish to keep the £ which will mean they have no control over their own economy anyway.
If the scots go either way will it make a difference to me and my family? Selfish I know, but that's what matters to me.
Whereas the no lot? Just tried to frighten them so they can keep the oil money and feed them scraps, then made stuff up. There is already a lot of povety in scotland, I don't think that scares them much. The no campaign have said to THE SAME PEOPLE that they will ***** them over if they dare and leave i.e. can't have pound etc etc, and yet will suddenly be really nice to them if they stay. A bit like a wife beater who keeps promising to change, but never really does. Who'd believe them? They sat and offered exactly nothing intil they started to worry they might loose, so the scots know in their heart of hearts westminster really would rather give them nothing at all.
I agree Oscar and wish that was true, it looks like the no's will win. this will then lead to political upheaval here and in the north for years to come.when they get more power up there people here will want Scottish mp's barring from voting on English matters, The West Lothian question
It's all about money in the end and funny that the oil money will be false and worthless to the scots yet we've all been propped up by it for decades and it's ok for us? Maybe we should be worrying about what WE will do when it runs out, rather than how 6 million Scots will manage.
And this is how the English really view the Scots. Who'd want to stay attached with bigoted crap like that spouting forth? I thought the no campaign was all about how much we love the Scots. Not that I believed that for a minute.
Put another way. Are the scots deciding my families future without my say? If they are, then I don't live in a democracy do I?
