Its a site that has its ups and downs, like all sites and things in life. I think things on the thread in question all got taken the wrong way, at the end of the day, it was his to sell, and he can sell it at whatever price he wanted, irregardless of what he paid for, again its a fact of life, people buy things and sell them on again, some do it intentionally just to make money, in this case it sounded quite genuine, and if people don't like what he wants for it, then they won't buy it!

 

I know bay searcher , I didn't start this thread tonight to cause any hassle.
Just weren't happy how someone else was treated recently .

I have been on here for a while and every body I have spoke to is grate look forward to meeting some of them when my bus is on the road but I've jumped in on some people's threads and taken the pee but it's never been to upset someone but that's what I like about the site it's relaxed

 

I could have spent the last hour of my Sunday night better I'm sure !

Firstly, I havent bothered reading all of this thread, cant be arsed..

Just wanted to add that I love it here, it is literally the only dub forum I use. (bar trying VZi twice to buy an exhaust that turned out to be for a beetle...)
I have received endless amounts of good advice, and encountered some of the most helpful people I've ever experienced (on or off the tinterwebs).
The distance TLB members will go to help is astonishing, TBR of course deserves props here,
But there is so many others, giving away parts to people in need (where else does that happen??), lending tools, answering even the most ridiculous of requests in an instant, and even coming over personally to call me a chapstick when I'd put my lines into and out of the fuel pump on the wrong way round! (Cheers Doug! hahaha)

Yeah theres a large amount of variation in sense of humours, but your going to get that with this many people, and if your around for more than 5 minutes then you already know who is who when it comes to opinions and levels of sarcasm etc.. And I like the fact that people say what think on for sale threads, it helps the people that havent got a clue not get ripped off. (must add I havent seen the thread on the interior that was mentioned earlier..)
Besides, if there is the very occasional douchebag, then just take it on the chin, thats just life!

People are a*seholes, and the internet certainly brings out the very worst in people,
but in my honest opinon, TLB seems to be the exception that proves the rule.
