Hi guys

I don't won't to put a downer on things but I felt I needed to put my feelings across !

I joined this forum well over a year ago , prob two when I purchased my first bus. I purchased a 68 and was promptly told I was on the wrong site !

I was told where to go ( earlybay.com ) and do u know , without seeming rude I'm glad !

I still come back here every now and again to have a look and every time I do I leave feeling disappointed at the attitude of some individuals visiting this site.

I've just watched a friend with a late bay being harassed when trying to sell an item on here !
Nice bloke innocently selling a decent item but being attacked by idiots who just wanna spoil things and try prove some point?

This is a great vw forum being spoilt by a bunch of losers ( not everyone ) who I seem to come accross every time I visit this site.

I will continue to visit late bay but I'm glad I am a member of prototype bay.
Earlybay members seem to respect each other , are friendly , and there's none of this nastiness I keep seeing on here!

I guess I'm just asking the mods to keep an eye what's going on , I'm sure it's not just me that's noticed this.

I hope things get sorted on here ?

We r all fellow dubbers , early or late , let's all keep it friendly !

Then again I also have a 68 and totally gave up with earlybay.com after the usual crowd of arse lickers got on me tits one too many times.

 

I didn't fit in there either, I don't have a lowered white westy, with fancy wheels

 

Shiplee, if you don't use this forum and happy with Earlybay, you must have started this thread purely to troll and spread unhappyness, so that makes you as bad as the peeps you're moaning about?

 

That's a real shame, to be honest I 've not seen that particular case, I'm don't religiously go on this forum, I have odd day don't look on it at all, I comment few times and put the odd post on, the comments, likes I get back are good and friendly, its a shame a small minority put a dampner on things, but in any hobby interest be it cameras or donkey racing on an internet forum you are gonna get numptys, I like Late bay, I've not met any members in person but do feel a warmth towards em and look forward to seeing em when I do. yep your right it should be cool and I really hope it ain't put you off, cause the last thing anybody needs in this interest in old knackered aircooled vws is a divide. fair play mate,

I agree no need for long discussion over price / profit loss etc in for sales threads, I noticed that all the debate about the legality of the tyres for sale by A certain genuine Vw vendor were deleted, over on club 80-90 there no replied allowed in the for sale section

 

Maybe I'm not as tough skinned as some ov u chaps lol !
Just never had this issue with other mentioned site !

 

I saw you dropped in there other week, I did notice a certain frostiness in the air when you posted, what happened there?

 

You started a special thread to say you come across occaisional unfriendliness?
I do hope this isn't the start of another load of forum navel gazing.
The sale threads on here are different to other places. This doesn't apply to the interior thread which I agree was a bit wierd, but in general if you state untruths in your for sale thread you'll get the rug pulled out from under you and that's no bad thing for the greater community.

 

I like VZI as well, I just stay away from the 'Discussion' bit
