Nuff said! Anyway, smallframes?? No news is bad news Apologies for hijack.... But do we really care if the pins are round or rectangular
No, I'm not picking, I'm genuinly wondering why it's there. Apologies @surreyvan - hijacking your thread was not intended.
Snot a hijack if it's a proper spot . Regardless of our mumblings and rumblings @surreyvan it's an odd socket in a VW camper.
No worries it's rather odd to say the least obv it will be changed I wonder if the po had it put in as he travelled quite a bit to Spain , also I'm also wondering about the red plastic key thingy ? I guess once it all wired up all will be revealed or not lol
The key is just an isolator. That's ok and they're rated up to about 500amps lol. More than your average table lamp! So, its possibly a security key but whatever it is you'll work it out. Keep the updates coming
Well engine bay has been detailed and wiring loom needs a clean etc so todays progress has been good og rear lights cleaned up nicely as well
So we thought here's an idea , as sometimes I will want extra space in the van dogs grandkids etc and I don't want fridge/sink unit in place how about a fold up buddy seat that fits behind the sink unit I like it
Do you have the westy stool ? that`s another PITA and gets in the way .... clock and trip speedo are super expensive these days !! i`m guessing its a 1600 type 1 engine and not the type 4 ?
yep still have the original stool and trip speedo and clock were already in van so pretty lucky on that , yep engine is the og 1600 type 1 rebuilt
So original rebuilt engine back in and running new ss stock type exhaust mudguards fitted back end all finished cleaned up rear inner wings cleaned and detailed ready for clear coat rust proofing
my continental had one too wired into the dash switched 12 volt feed for internal fluorescent in the rear!
Use it enjoy it - get a few inevitable stone chips etc but most of all get some good memories and experiences from it and remember it can always be fixed up again when wear and tear sets in. Museum pieces are to be looked at but no fun! Remember you own the bus and not the other way around! Can’t take it with you to the grave so just enjoy your hard work.
