Now onto fitting the new panel which wasnt as hard as i thought it would be, opening up the returns to the post and then using a strap pulled in nice
Got myself a rollover jig and managed to get bus under the carport, trying to keep the noise down to a minimum as its against next doors lounge. top coat of gloss and raptor black finish.
So as winter was approaching and the car port was smaller in length than the van, it was on the move again to a mate of mine who had part of his barn where he stores all his lifting gear available. I was at the stage where i needed it dry and warmish to get all the filling and primer on. This bus has moved more in milage to different locations than i have driven it.
My 2 doors where shot but we set the front panel up with them but after i managed to locate 2 early doors with the smaller hinges but these left a bugger gap between the doors and the front panel edge, so we had to tack weld a strip along the edge and skim over.
The poptop roof carpet was a bit grotty and stained so decided to strip it out, fitted 25mm cellotex for insulation and recarpeted it.
