Only wildlife we saw was a gaggle of under-dressed wedding party guests, and a few donkeys and mules in a field

 

I looked at that at IKEA but went for their rope ladder with one months meat balls thrown in

I came home today to see what I initially thought was two pigeons mating with a magpie wandering about. I then realised it was actually a bird of prey on top of a bird with its wings covering it and it had been pulling its feathers out. There were more magpies on the roof. I’m not sure if they wanted to attack the hawk, or it’s victim but I think was the hawk they didn’t like.

Anyway the dove victim was alive and made a big for freedom, aided by the magpie taking its chance to go for the distracted hawk. The dove managed to get under the bush and the hawk gave up, there were a few magpies around too.

I spotted the dove still under the bush later and left it alone. I went back later with some seeds incase it was hungry but it had gone.

Excuse the rubbish photos but I was in my car watching it play out and had to try and pause the video for photos.

Well they've dug a channel in just about every inch of tarmac round here in the last year, so probably all on superfast fibre broadband for everything .....
