I looked in my vents the other day and poked it with my finger. Still covered in a crispy soot layer..
Don’t tell me you haven’t had a crafty sniff . It’s when you start sniffing other peoples it’s probably time to seek help…
After a run, the smell of engine and hot oil, with perhaps a suggestion - a top note - of fuel from the carbs. Mmm.
I even introduced my partner to the delights, she was skeptical at first but after giving it a go seemed to appreciate those subtle nuances of warm paint, oil, maybe the very slightest hint of petrol (but not too much now) and just that wonderful unique aircooled VW engine smell - or maybe she was just humouring me
She obviously thought it was worthwhile sharing an experience you obviously find pleasurable. Or maybe she just thinks you’re barmy.
A tedious job prepping and painting the vents, but fair play for sticking with it rather than giving it a heavy hope for the best blast of paint!
Have you tried the smell of faulty regulator over a boiled battery. Slightly warmed over the heat exchangers then gently blown through the dash vents. Mmmm
@paradox you might need to post an update.... the kids have got a bit out of control while you’ve been away working!
