  1. I’d be pretty happy if the doors on my bus shut nearly so flush. Maybe if I removed the seals altogether they might stand a chance.

  2. Refitted the rear bumper
Fitted new pedal seals in the cab and under the tray
    Resealed all exhaust joint

Decided i need to rewire the ignition wiring to the coil as all split and insulation missing.

Also door seals for the cab, pretty sure I'll be fitting either custom and commercial ones or the A H Schofield ones. Any recommendations. Both 'genuine German Quality'

You need to put a bit of copper ease in it, before refitting.

Got my twin horns working, ex golf off eBay. I wired in a new feed from the battery, fused at both ends, and used a relay. Nice and loud now, well pleased.

Checked the fuel pressure .. about 3.5 psi with the SSP pump from Heritage. And it definitely is not slowly dribbling petrol from the pivot any more like the old one did.

Loosened off the exhaust to get the gearbox drain plug out. Drained oil. Put plug back in and refilled the box with 4 litres of lovely new oil.
Realised that the Subarugears sight glass is pointless as it shows full at 3.5l when the TY754 boxes need 4l.
    Reinstalled exhaust.
    Job jobbed.

Don't buy the cheap ones ,you might as well leave them off and you get less water coming in .
i had my doors shutting with a gentle push nice and flush , then i bought cheap seals and the rest is slamming shut ,stuck out like a sore thumb history .

  18. Took the rear bumper and tow bar off, surveyed the damage caused by a rear end shunt (February). Cleaned up some rusty bits, especially the engine hatch recess where the rubber goes and painted with primer. Now working out what to do regards the little bit of welding that is required and new bumper etc.

  19. Filmore performed his secondary function today, as I hauled two loads of garden rubbish and various other crap to the tip. He has to earn his keep, and new engines don't come cheap.
