I need to hold on to my tent for a little bit. I'm moving at the end of the Jan and need to build a new garage
It did eventually shred itself enough to be useless, always very windy down the side of our house though!
cant you build another wigwam like the one your bugs sitting on ,with your carpentry skills and a bit of bent corolux your have sumat up over it in no time , its good to see your sticking to freestyle or front crawl too , beware breast stroke
Just don't get carried away and remember when it's all finished it'll only be worth another £300. Beetles are NOT like vans.
I get a lot of sheet metal out the scrap bins of this metal firm and I'll make some pannels as long as it's same thickness will be fine !!
The cost is the labour as you know Si, bearing that in mind I can't over-emphisise that the material costs are comparatively peanuts and that all things considered, go for the best quality parts you can. After a day fitting a £10 bit or a day fitting a £30 bit the price of the bit becomes irrelevent, so get the best you can. hope that makes sense. It will after the day fitting the cheap part.
A day fitting a crap panel is resented - a day fitting a good one is a job well done - a content karma situation.
Iv got a busy weekend planned on the bug even Mrs Daisy is on a road trip to collect a new front beam off eBay !!
