Thats looking bloody marvelous. Not many rescued to that standard from the pile of rust you started out with. Most folk would have scrapped that. It just goes to show what can be saved with great skill and determination. If you start a small resto business there wont be any better advert than this van or the post that goes along with it. Its doubtful you will ever have to contend with something as bad as this on a customer project, so my guess would be that any customers vans would be most excellent by the time you finished them .

Im dead jealous your in paint by the way... ;)

I might've asked you this before, but what paint did you use? 2K?

I remember looking at this in real life and I cannot believe how outstanding a good job you've made of it. Absolutely brilliant work.

  18. Yes 2k it's good strong hardwaring paint ideal for these old busses ;) but I like base and clear [IMG]

What'd you do in terms of PPE? I'm currently debating doing the paintwork on our van as I'm not sure if my budget will stretch to a pro job. I now have access to the 150L compressor on the farm, plus my 50L compressor so should be able to run both a gun and breathing equipment. I'm a loooong way of painting but like to try and get an idea of how other DIYers have got on with 2K.

  20. Seriously brilliant work.
