  2. Thanks guys, I'll order that one with a selection of insulated blade connectors so I can use the correct size.

  4. Another question (I bet you lot will be happy when I've finished this!)

Just been out looking at the ignition wiring in more detail and it looks like my new loom doesn't include the thick black/yellow wire which is supposed to go from the ignition switch to the bottom of fuse 10. I also seem to be missing the small black and yellow wire which also attaches to the bottom of fuse 10 and goes to the headlight switch (annoying when you spend over £200 at Just Kampers!!)

I would just use the old wires for these but My existing wiring loom has the small black and yellow wire but not the thick one. It seemed that the headlight switch had been modified so the thick wire went directly to the headlight switch, piggy backing on the small black and yellow wire which in turn went to the fuse box.

Would it be ok to replicate this or should I source a new thick wire and do it properly?!

  5. Those wires feed the headlights and wipers (from top of fuse 10), but are arranged so that the feed is cut during starting.

Probably worth reinstating if your ignition switch has the correct terminals (and they actually work).
The headlights and wipers are quite a heavy load so might have burnt out the contacts in the (previous?) ignition switch - hence the reason for bypassing it.

Use a bit of black wire with yellow heat shrink at regular intervals. According to the diagram, the thick wire is 4mm2, the thinner is 2.5mm2.
