Standard green thing folded in half for kicking off shoes onto. Wraps around the wind break when it's stowed on the roof. Just see it here at Monemvasia
...Just dont forget your rubber mallet...prefebely one that dosnt 'Lose its head' when used properly...
My thoughts too was looking at coming up with one that came off the jacking points but that works. looks idyllic
Just spreadin' the love Andy...young fella like you with a super bus....get yersen off & see the world
nah, had the canopy since about 2004. Bought from your old stomping ground, Bolton/Blackburn way from e-bay before things went stupid. Never seen another like it but there are probably loads. The width is the wheel base, the frame consists of 2 poles with a spring thing so you can fold them and 1 sliding pole for each upright with a wing nut thingy to adjust the height and the cross pole at the front is three pieces. Two sliding poles in a central one enable you to tension the canvass/nylon through wing nut thingys again. The lanterns are hung off them. Standard fig 8 attachment to gutter sewn into canopy, heavy duty nylon. If I was designing a canopy, this would be it. It can be angled right down to provide shelter from driving rain & packs away into two small bags that sit neatly under the R&R bed.
I have the self same sunshade, I bought mine about a hundred years ago from a bloke called Clive at Individual Interiors. I spoke to him recently and he's all but retired now. Still makes sunshades, but in order to compete on cost, he's had to delete the horizontal pole. We use four guylines, two at each end at right angles to each other and it never, ever blows down. I CAN HAZ WINNAH
mines not same its a devon one but i do same with guy ropes n also drop it down one section on pole if its raining hard or blowing a real hoot and raining , saves pooling up .
