And is it standard ? or "tweeked" i.e. aftermarket anything ?which may have a bearing on this occurence.
carb icing... petrol starvation. coil getting hot. condensor faulty. air filter clogg. fuel filter blocked. many things really
cuts out on tick over, its all standard fuel filter looks new, restarts again straight away i have checked the throttle and made it run a bit faster but still cuts out. i agree poss condenser
check your pipes could be air leak, could be blocked filter/carb does it re start straight away? if so probably fuel more than electrical.
have you got a servo fitted on your van - check the pipe coming off the inlet manifold to the servo's non return valve, this may be split or disconnected
my limited source of suggestions has run out (our westy had a vac house come off the FI system and did same as yours)
Check the little fuel mixture screw on the carb, the rubber washer may have perished and is letting air in, I fitted a brand new carb on a beetle a few months back and after getting warm it just kept cutting out, took me ages to find out that the little fuel screw did'nt have a rubber washer on it I fitted one and it runs perfect
i was going to order a carb because it backfired in the past and blew out a round blanking cap on side of carb and someone has put a new cap in for me but i feel i need a new carb .can i just fit one or do i need it setup too
