why is the forum so quiet these days?

This is an excellent site for serious information and help as well as lots of banter. I have also met loads of lovely people in the flesh who I wouldn't have met otherwise. I've been given stuff for my van from people who didn't know me. Lost in France and Silver to name just two because they understand the ethic of the site which is making new friends and helping each other. Long may it last.

 

let's not have another slate the rules thread, it seems me being watched bothers others more than me, to reitterate, i love it here, if i have a problem i'll sort it, i got watched for being a naughty boy pete's a mate he owns the site i respect him so i deal with it, matt (baydreams) chin up mate, i know you had a rough time recently but i want this place to be fun like it was, with all the sillyness etc like poptop and the gang going off topic on the previous page, last thing i want is the jangley keys on it, it's been the most used thread all weekend.

This is point I WAS trying to make a few months back the tlb has lost it's mojo fact

a hell of a lot of people on here have moved over to Facebook which I am one of em which is a shame as I don't even like Facebook but there is a slight tlb vibe on there but it's defiantly not the same
As for the watched stickers it don't bother me either but I think it could make the marked ones easy targets for the less nice people on here
But rules are rules so
THESE ARE OBSERVATIONS NOT ME HAVING A POP so please don't go get the hump
The notification system is hit and miss and has been like it since "the server upgrade"so if you don't get notified to a post it's hard to reply
There generally seems to be less mods/admins about and partake ing in threads it's actually quite regular now to find no mods online which a few months ago never ever happened
But on a plus side I have found bayseacher and tuesdaywildchild a lot easier to get on with since the fallout
And that's something I thought I d never say

 

I aqgree to some degree Woody but none us knew each other before TLB so dont see how that be regarded as cliquey :headscratch2:

 

Defo notification s are nt working I ve subscribed to this thread since I last posted and there's been two posts and no e mither
This not me haveing a go still but more observations
Tlb biggest competitor is Facebook
The forum needs to raise its game to compete
Take the good bits out off Fb like likening posts as example
Keep the good bits of tlb like the karma
And may I dare say re store the swear filter back to how it was with all time classics like mango chutney and marmite ( not swore for ages on here so this may of been done) and point out the swear filter is there to be used not by passed as I think this is still unclear
These are just examples of what could be done
