Who has paid the most for their bus on tlb and what do you think they fetch now

alot of companys out there like G-day are selling them for £25000 and there selling.

I'd put the price drops on winter and the poor summer we've just had. You watch next year people will be back paying 14 -16k for the nice ones.

There is also the problem of alot of bodge jobs out there, everyone knows of someone who has brought a bay for say 8k that ends up being full of filler and needing full resto's.

 

My 73 was bougt for 4200. then new wheels, csp shifter, drop spindlers. Then had the interior done @ camper shak, 2200. New 2,4 L. T4 engine, 3500. sliding windows both sides.
This is the things i remember.

 

Bought mine for £4K, probably spent 4-5. Probably not worth the total. Never spent more than £1500 on one before.

Had customer last year who'd bought late bay for £33K, the cab doors wouldn't fit even after I replaced the cheap seals, and the engine was foobarred. He'd had it 3 months or so. My painter and I had a good sniff round and corners had been cut... I advised he took it back and made a fuss.

 

bought molly for £3000...

cant even tell you how much has been spent on her... ridiculous amounts....

just lucky my dad decided to take on the responsibility as she would still be sat somewhere falling to bits if it was down to me...

im very very lucky...

i think she's worth more but the insurers ave guessed about 14000... anyone who has seen her can you tell me what you think?? are they around the right price you rek??

 

A wise woman once said , " dont you dare add up what we spent on it ".had it valued at a show while we were in a line up , the bloke had brilliant eye sight in fact so good was his eyesight he would have put a hawk to shame ...he gave a valuation from about 100 mtrs away after i told what i had done to it.


so i hearby claim the prize for the furthest away valuation.
