Who else put the engine in the "correct" place.?

    You could argue it's a mid mount but it's behind the driver so I guess it's in the right area

  8. Renault with the Fregate and the 8 & 10 and check out the Tucker Torpedo, a big American sedan from the late forties with a rear mounted flat6. A car years ahead of it's time.
    The later Chevrolet Corvair had a rear mounted flat6 too.
