  1. Can't decide where to go for our hols between the above two.
There is 2 of us and no kids or dogs, like going for days out sightseeing, leisurely strolls that sort of thing.

Anyone been to either of those?

  2. Not much at both places .

  3. Cheddar.there is loads close by:Wookey Hole,Wells,Glastonbury,Cheddar Gorge.A great area.

  4. why not go to FoD for 2 or 3 days then on to cheddar, not too far apart

  5. At Cheddar Gorge there is less chance (slightly) of being bummed by a local telling you to 'squeal little piggy' as he does so.

For either take a banjo and learn to say 'Yarp' and you'll be fine

  7. You can chase the goats around cheddar lol but watch out they get right upon the cliffs.

  8. That place looks nice. I prefer adult only, will seriously consider that one.

Not been to FoD but can recommend cheddar.

Caves are fun to walk through and the cheese shop is fantastic.

  12. Cabbiemans site is good. Try the Hunters Inn out of Priddy, its an experience. Roger the landlord is a character.
What everyone says above, try FOD for a day out, Symmonds Yat,do the ferry there, sculpture walk, Chepstows nice.
Oh, don't have the Butcombe Ale at Hunters unless you are near the toilet block.

  13. Nice scenery in the FOD but not a lot to do, esp at night, Clearwell caves are good tho
    I would go for Cheddar

  14. Definitely lots to do around cheddar.

  16. It's not the insects you need to worry about, it's the locals.

Not a lot happens in Chedder.

Strange realy as I only live 20 mins down the road, I can't remember the last time I went there, Chedder not the lap dancing club, we got them in town:confused:
We dont appreciate the beauty we have close to us and it's usualy full off Grockles.

  18. Which ever you choose try not to be too conspicuous, especially when you walk into a pub.

Think Slaughtered Lamb in An American Werewolf in London and you'll understand.

And when people like Rusty try to talk to you try not to laugh.

    And check your change.
