Whoops. I usually just take one in to match it. Although, I recall a few times I made 2-3 trips in/out until I found a match. They're too cheap to even bother with returning/exchanging. Just toss it in you toolbox & buy another one. I do know they're double, or fine-threaded and about 1/2 inch long.
Perhaps I should just go in and say I want the screw that holds the interior door handle onto a VW Bay please and watch the look on their faces! At least I know what I need, even if they don't
@Paul Weeding didn't give you the length though - you will need to know this. As a general note, I work around the corner from Clerkenwell Screws (look them up), they have almost every screw type fixing known to man (I never exaggerate me ). If anyone ever needs a hard to source widget, let me know
That is a very kind offer, and if I don't succeed in sourcing one I will let you know, we do have a very good screw company here I will try first, (I just haven't been able to get there while Mr B working as not able to drive at the min) Had another thought too - Mr @Paul Weeding may have one in that bus he is breaking, just to add something else to our list for him
