Nah, you'd just drag me out from under and bugger off in your van... ...at least I HOPE you'd drag me out first before buggering off in your van.
It was the sudden realisation seeing the camera that I'd been suckered into spannering under his van. AGAIN!
Spot on. Its directly in line with chassis rail. You obiously dont have a lot of clearance when suspension compressed.
I must me when it goes over a big bump it's low in the back never heard it bottom out but it must be close
One evil that may have happened is you accidentally popped the CV joint out while you were doing the bearings while at Techenders (it says dont let them go more than 20 degrees out of straight) and it jumped round 120 degrees as it popped back in again by itself.. It cannot do that twist normally because the torsion bar hits the lower bump stop before the CV joints are pulled out. Anyhow a million times better than firing all the ball bearings out all over the A5 and covering itself in crap as it flaps around. Actually reading your post its probably catching on the frame so no real problem except lowering..
^WHS. My bus still has the 2/3 of a rubber blobby thing in there, and I can feel the suspension using it when driving around on country lanes. And thats without bridesmaids in the back. I think that the Hasta Alaska guy over on the Samba has managed the twisted CV joint on his bus driving dirt roads in Central America. And the EZGZ on Youtube mentions it as a hazard off-roading in a baja bug.
