55mph usually , i sometimes debate wiv myself , "do i cruise at that speed cos as a truck driver sometimes, thats the cruisin speed i"m so used to being at,"? (cos truck is mech. limited to that max speed) if being annoyed/hassled by nasty truck driver i floor the pedal and watch my fuel tank empty !
I sit at around 60ish until I come up to a HGV and sit behind him in his 'slipstream'. Until a faster one comes along then I sit behind him instead. Eddie stobarts are generally pretty quick. Failing that wait for an European one as these sometimes seem to be limited a bit higher
Type 4 1800 002 gearbox, and 60 - 70 is fine on the flat, but hills slow me down so I need a bit of a run up.
Mine's none of the above engine-wise, but anywhere between 55-65 for the sake of the handling and MPG and 80 overtaking.
60 - 65 mph just feels good at about 17 mpg. (that's 95 - 105km/h at 9.5 liters per 100km, did I calculate it right? )
