What's the problem?

    After a run she takes a good spin of the starter to fire up. slight lack of power up hills and seems to be getting a bit too warm after a 10 mile run.

    She does sound sweet enough and starts ok when cold. I have an hot start relay fitted that is working so don't think it's an hot start problem.

    Guesses, facts, blind stabs in the dark all welcome.

    running to lean and timing out - that's why you get 100mpg you tight git, time it up right get rid of the points and get electronic in.

    i got one of those accusparks off ebay delivered for less than £50 made a load of difference malc, and at that price it's throwaway money.

    ^^^This. If you're feeling flush, get an accuspark timing light at the same time so you can set it up yourself.

    Get the whole distributor from Accuspark, lift out, drop in , set timing and you're away.

    I can sort it easily enough guys, no worry's you are all spot on btw. Just waiting for the usual ( have you checked the fuel outlet pipe/ you need a new locking petrol cap/ it's crud in the air filter ) kinda posts now.. ;)
