So I've had my camper for about 6mth now and have only just noticed that I don't have the 1/4 glass and the divider The thing is when I have been looking to replace these But im not sure if it comes in one piece or is two different pieces that need to be brought separate ? are the unfixed one's worth the extra cash ?? And does anyone know the best place to buy them from for a a reasonable price and best quality ?
have a look on vwh & Im sure if you buy the quarter light glass kit, you get the little piller too ** found it on JK http://www.justkampers.com/catalog/...fixed-frame-right-for-vw-t2-1968-1979-silver/
You want items 6 or 7, plus the glass and rubbers http://www.customandcommercial.com/...gine_lid_parts/cab_door_1fslash4_light_parts/
rubbers are 16/17 http://www.customandcommercial.com/...oor_tailgate_engine_lid_parts/cab_door_seals/ Glass 26/27 http://www.customandcommercial.com/vw-baywindow/window_parts/window_glass/ But your best option is to keep an eye out for some 2nd hand ones!!
C&C, Heritage and probably alot of the usual suspects do a kit about £225, all you need to fit the opening 1/4 light kits seals etc included the only thing you may need are the little bolts to hold them in.
There were plenty of second hand 1/4 lights with frames at Stoner Park on Sunday and so your best bet might be going to one of the shows.
Were these fixed or opening ones? I've been after a set of opening ones for a while because my fixed ones are gradually dissolving.
Opening ones are normally around the £120 a piece mark... and even then you might have to get some new framework for them
Ah, good question. Not 100% sure as didn't look that closely, but there were definitely lots of them there.
Gone up a bit then! Last pair I bought were that price but came with rust free cab doors into the bargain! That was only 2 years ago...
I've done that too £150 for a cab door with opening 1/4... don't mind if I do TBH the price on them fluctuates quite a lot... but they'll never be less than £70 a piece!!
