What is this on my dash?

Got this thing sticking out my dash. Any ideas what it is?

 

It's a pontefract cake.

They make you completely invisible to speed cameras.

 

if its magnetic its a magnetically attractive base for something else with a magnet

 

Also what are those 2 screws for that sticking out of the speaker grill

 

They're to hold something which isn't magnetic.

 

My guess would be they're holding the speaker on underneath !

Easy one, it should be stuck to the windscreen... It the rain sensor for the wipers

It's not magnetic. It has two cables which I've traced back to this box behind the panel on the passengers side.

 

Probably for an antenna for a mobile phone car fit, they usually have a stick on inductive piece like that and antenna on the outside

Could also be for a cb radio?

 

I live in Scotland, I'd have burnt out a few rain sensors by now if they had them.

 

It's a device to warn you that the filth in your air vents is becoming a public health hazard...

 

If it starts ticking . RUN.

 

Is it only connected to one cable? Where does the other one go? Say anything on the box.

Outside chance it's a GPS antenna for a tracker.

It's like a fitted cable at the dash end down to those two brass fittings in the pic. Then a wire going somewhere else's

It's blowing a hooly outside so I'll check where the cable ends up next time I'm out at the van.

I was hoping for a straight forward answer but that was optimistic
