  1. Hi all, have just cut off my front cross 'member' oooohh matron, to replace with new, and discovered a hole in the chassis winking at me like a rusty sheriffs badge in all it's glory! Any idea what gauge steel the chassis is made from?
    Thanks All:burp:

  2. 12gauge magnum

  4. I'm not entirely sure what its supposed to be, but I've been making my chassis bits out of 2mm, and some of 3mm, if that helps..

  6. Thanks Gents for prompt replys, I have some 6 mm plate laying around from my rack & pinion fab, do you think that would be overkill, maybe not as much as @oscar's 12 gauge Magnum;)

  7. 6mm would probably fall into the "ship building" bracket ;)

What part of the chassis are you looking at fixing?

  8. Where the front cross member (passenger side) is spot welded to the chassis,

  9. Yeah, 6mm is kinda overkill for just there :)
