  1. Had Saab seat but were too high for my short @rse.

Now have Porsche seats and ok for me but Sally's gonna struggle without platform shoes.
Cheesy peasy to fit, just line up rail edge against walk through side - which due to the dip in the tub can only go in one position drill it (and wire up electrics if u have them).

My drivers seat had a circuit board for seat memory, threw this away and wired switches to drive motors forward and reverse.

  2. Im thinking these

But I think the subframes will raise it too much :(

  4. I think your right, surely drilling new holes with decent bolts and nuts etc would be safe. Nice and low too

  5. I like them low back cobra buckets i reckon they would look good too

  6. :D

This is why im getting them

  7. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

At risk of sounding like a broken record I know, but get some pukka VW T2 seats? They are comfy. They adjust. They are the right height. All these car seats are designed for half lying down in a CAR where the floor is 6" below the seat. You have a van not a car and are required to sit upright to drive it so get the right seats. :)

I did 300 miles in mine the other weekend and got out fresh as a daisy.

  8. Im with Zed on this one, get a pair of stock seats.
Being a trimmer ive refurbed and fitted all sorts of seats to buses in the past but just refuse to do it now.
All car seats are too high whether from a sports car or saloon and you will have to compromise on safety and comfort.

  9. Refurbing the VW seats is fine if you've got the money. But scrap yard seats are £20 - £50 tops a pair.

I'm sticking with our stock seats. The upholstery is looking a bit worn on them but I think I may give the Mad Matz covers a go, I was very impressed with their cab carpeting that I fitted recently so hope the quality is the same on the seat covers.

  11. I found a pair of Subaru legacy seats for a tenner each, thay were dead easy to fit and are very comfortable,
no issues with hight and i am 6ft4 tall

  12. I've got some Hyundai coupé seats - sit at a good height and are adjustable on their stock runners.

Before that had Vauxhall Omega Elite electric seats which were OK but not a lot of room between seat and wheel hence the change.
