I had visitors who wanted to go to Borth in my van - I sold my boat on ebay because i bought a newer one. The buyer it transpires lives in Aberystwyth. "Oh we're coming over to Aber in a mo!" says I - and we chuck the boat on the roof and await visitors - my visitors then rang to say " We can't make it today" meanwhile i am committed to travel to Aber with boat on roof of van - GRRR! We meet buyer at Rhayader as he wouldn't let me take it all the way to Aber and swap boat for cash we then carry on to Borth - Scorchio weekend at Borth then we travel back to Stourport and collect new boat - home for ten last night, bed by twelve. I could have been at Monstay with other mates and not had to go hauling boats all over the shop and had more money left over but the visitors had to be accommodated - grrr So what did you do?
I was in VWOlives bus on Saturday doing bits and under Majorhangovers on Sunday. Not bad for a weekend off.
Chilled on Saturday while the pirates were seeing their sister, all went to the beach on Saturday and got mildly sunburnt, worth it though, twas a generally lovely day, nice drive, Lola even overtook cars
Went out for the day on Saturday in the van. Bit of a wander around the local countryside, went to Tamworth then Lichfield. Drove past the registry office in Lichfield and got a funny look from the wedding limo chauffeur, so I had no choice but to give it the beans on the way past -really childish, I know, but.......
Paid for and drove home our new camper, fixed the brake lights on arriving home, cleaned the interior and proudly showed it off to anyone that would listen to me going on and on about it. Also ordered various parts for it-not for the last time I suspect.
Family do down south for us. Mom's 80th birthday bash. I was well behaved but I have a few issues with some of my family so it wasn't 'fun'. Spent a bit of time in the hotel bar though which was expensive, but relaxing
Family outing to Rufford Park to feed the ducks and look at a moggy thou gathering, not a lot in their engine bay is there!
I survived my mum's 70th birthday party (no exaggeration ), if any family member suggests they may like a party, I'm not organising it. Many thanks to the church club for being thoroughly obstructive throughout this last week, there's a strongly worded letter of complaint and another from Liverpool's health and safety inspection team on its way to you as I type
did a spot of volunteering Saturday morning and yes you have guessed it took mother to Sainsburys Saturday morning ( as I do every week unless we are off dubbing) - Sunday dragged children and husband round a 3 hour go go gorilla walk round Norwich , only half of them done , but they loved it ............. for around 5 go go gorillas, then they had to all be bribed by cream cakes to continue. Washed the Galaxy and washed the bus ............
Taking drive shafts off my T5. In readiness for new ones. Transpired I only needed the drivers side. Grrrrr I still hate new cars.
