what battery is best to buy amp wise

as it says really put my old battery had with the bus on charge over night ready for weekend to start engine only got to 12.14v/9.4ah then started to leak ! is this scrap and buy a new 1 ? if so what u guys using

I was told get one for diesel engines as they give a bigger kick at take off.

 

GSF one seconded! You need to get one that physically fits - I forget what the size is.

Which reminds me, I have a leisure battery fitted as well, but the charging seems dodgy, as there's a fuse?I'm going to fit a proper charging circuit hopefully, and a big DC to AC voltage converter, since the missus wants to operate a toaster (shakes head, yeah I know).

 

There is a standard size designation. @fritt will know what it is.

 

Its on the back page of there air cooled catolouge its a type 063, not sure what the amps are

 

And its advertised for the type 2 camper, and fits the tray

Tell them your in a club and they should give you a 10% loyalty card

If you get an 063, should be fine.

I get mine from the breakers yard. 70 - 80 Ah for £20 each. Have always gotten at least 4 years out of them

 

Will do that for leasure maybe just got new 1 from gsf £32 bargin !!

 

063 is the std size battery, but if you want to go bigger, then an 096 is the biggest I've managed to fit
