Wanted Tailgate hinge mechanism.

So the bit attached to the roof of the van that holds the spring in place has broken/bent? A pic would be really helpful.
I'm in East Anglia so not really near you and Paul's in Scotland!

Good find. Jane needs to say or photo exactly what's wrong with hers though, because if it's the bit permanently attached to the van, it would be easier to repair in situ (and so avoid damaging exterior paint).

 

I have been liaising to try and buy this for a couple of days. It is now mine for £36 Inc. delivery. Thought I'd get it in case mine can't be repaired especially has one of my brackets has snapped on the tailgate. Fortunately my van hasn't been painted yet if I do need to get someone to weld it in.
