vdub camper Sold ????????? Commer in the mist

  1. Not posted anything for a long time since the site went down last year. Hoping it’s not my last as I have just sold my 75 bay after a three year love affair. Had vw for the past 10 years and I’m now looking at a commer and an austinJ2 coach built. Not sure if I’m making a good move but we had a commer when we were kids and I do love them. What are your thoughts on these babies? :- :- :-

    i like commers, there were a couple at camperjam last year, would need to post a pic of the austin to remember them though??
     
  5. I like em .used to have one years back .much better than the Bedford cf that I had after I seem to remember it had great suspension and handling

    well, you'll get noticed......i like old stuff anyway so it's ok by me, are they based on anything austin engine wise that parts are easy to get?

    you ain't getting the hang of the quote function :lol: make sure you go to the very end of the text after the last word quote then type.

    Comma - fantastic conversions , engines are a devil to get out and difficult to work on , juicy and prone to rust but so are vws .

    J2 nice vans , never owned one but love the look , i'd say a good one will command some good money .

    i like comma's , i wish i had bought my brothers when he sold it 3 year ago :(
