  3. My Dad had a comer when we was kids old GPO or water company van converted with the help of a Devon roof and Miro bus windows i loved it went to France 4 or 5 times in it (converted to diesel before diesel was popular ran on red and what he could get his hands on alot as well cheep motoring) home made hammocks one across the front two up top happy days I've got some pics somewhere.
Seem to remember that off road it was marmite the spade was kept in the back all the time and that was campsites not 4x4 stuff and that narrow look was a bugger getting wheels off in the dark and rainy nights when you only get a flat.

But if that is what puts your flag up go for it because if we had any common sense would we of gone for a t4 or 5 instead of a t2

    good luck

I once drove a band to a gig in a Commer van. What a nightmare.

... but there's a wierd BMC camper in the car park outside my unit that you might like - I'll get a snap tomorrow.

  7. I love Commers, my uncle had one when we were little and you could cram a hella lotta kids in that thing :))

Trips to Blackpool to see the lights were heaven, I always wonder if that's what sparked my love of vw's and a bit of misremembering in favour of a 'cooler' camper :)

  8. I want one... ;D

  19. Working heater and a comfy looking bed, if it was a woman Lynz would have slapped my face for turning my head to look.

It has everything inside, cooker with oven, running hot and cold water, toilet cubicle, heater, fridge. The cab is glass-fibre. A chap who runs a cheap car hire rental company saw it at the auction and couldn't resist.
