Sorry I was talking about the tubes. If you meant the seals, it's still a no. But I can't find the viton ones this side of the Atlantic )
Well if works, why not! Lol Edit. Forgot to mention. If you are using mastic. The best way to apply it is.....peel back the tinware, rather than take it off. And don't hold back with your trigger finger. )
I found them straight away http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Pushrod-seal-1-7-2-0-small-between-tube-case-021109345A_act_shop.product_pID_119620_lang_EN_country_GB.htm?crumbStartPage=1 http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Pushrod-seal-1-7-2-0-large-25-1-dia-tube-to-head-021109349B_act_shop.product_pID_119639_lang_EN_country_GB.htm?crumbStartPage=1 I would replace the tubes... I've seen those ones before, and the bottom O-ring groove is a little off, and I wouldn't like to say that you're getting the correct compression of the o-ring... When you refit it all, no sealer, just a little engine oil on the seals
