We don't have a dishwasher but in a big old pan boiled a bit with washing powder did quite a good job... Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Most oven-cleaning products contain Sodium Hydroxide (commonly known as caustic soda or lye); it eats grease, oil and carbon deposits and converts them to soap which can be rinsed off with water. However, it’s very corrosive and reacts with aluminium and will leave the surface pitted. Oven cleaner is far more aggressive than the salt in dishwashers. If you use it don’t leave it on for long and wash it off thoroughly with plenty of water. And don’t get any in your eyes or on your skin.
