Points is easy and painless it also sounds scarier that's it is. Once someone has shown you , you'll scarcely believe how easy it is.
Fuel supply issues can be diagnosed with a water bottle, clean it and dry out a 1.5 or 2 litre water bottle. Take out rotor arm and replace the cap properly. Take fuel pipe off from where it hits the carb /s . Place inside bottle laying on its side. Hold pipe in bottle about two inches. Watch what happens as you have a willing accomplice or a glamorous assistant crank it over for a bit like crank and count to five then stop. You should see the fuel hit the base of the bottle as it should squirt out as the engine cranks. If it does, then the issue is after this point, if it doesn't then the issue is before. If the issue or problemo is before this point then it may be a blockage somewhere like in the pipe or in a filter so you can then track it down, or it could be a fuel pump issue or it could be lack of fuel. To test the pump, leave your bottle as is. And get a fuel container near by. Pop the pipe from the other side of the pump into the container and watch while your glamorous cranks it over. It should now be jizzing like a fourteen year old, if it isn't, then you have a pump issue. If it is now spewing it out but wasn't previously then there is a blockage somewhere or no fuel.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,, its about tracking it down:)
