WANTED Type-4 under tins

Small note:
Brickworks have them too (I can google just like everyone else), but the point of a wanted thread is to see if anyone on here has a pair to sell.

Zed, reading the above I assume you’re still looking for under tins so I’ll try removing them this evening and check their condition. It’s been sat for a while so hopefully the screws will undo without too much trouble.

Well the good news is that both tins are pretty solid, although they need a bit of tidying up. The bad news is that I’ve only managed to get the passenger side off so far. Two of the screws are completely seized on the other one. Access is limited so I’ll move the engine and try some heat tomorrow evening.

 

Hi Zed. After a bit more swearing, both tins are off. The worst part was being caught by Mrs Sydney operating an electric heat gun in drizzling rain, an engine balancing on its end on a piece of wood, in my flip flops and without my glasses on.

As I said, they will need a bit of tidying up. The outside holes have been slotted, and the lower one in the photos is dented, possibly by a jack when the engine was removed. If you still want them just pm me the address - you can have them for the cost of postage.
