    one dead case... I'll experiment fixing it once I've got a suitable TIG unit, but until then, it'll go on the possible junk pile :lol:

    TIG sounds a lot better idea than the previous owners plastic padding filler fix!!

    So glad you are on the case (sorry couldn't resist it). Don't think it would have been long before it did more than just leak oil badly.

  5. Found a few minor horrors on mine while the engine is out the bus but that is bad! I suppose there is always a desire to over tighten for good luck but its really not needed,

  7. Don't throw that case out if you do decide not to fix it I know a man who can weld it up. ;) :thumbsup:

    it's only a bodge if it fails. i say lets use more chemical metal.
