Doing a top end and new rings rebuild at the moment, got a full engine gasket set and has anyone changed their barrel gaskets, the old ones look like they are gonna be arkward to get out, any hints or tips before i have a go at it guys.
I never bother with them... they're essentially just a very thin metal shim... not really got anything gasket like about them!! I usually just put some sealer round the base of the barrel... not had any issues doing that so far!!
