Lard My father used to make the best Yorkshires, In a meat dish, lard smoking hot done in an oven range with a coal fire at the side, before he opened toven dur he put a net over it in case Yorkshires floated out, (not really) it was cut into quarters and we had it before our main meal. Absolutely delicious, bringing a tear to my eyes reliving the memory of those Yorkshire days
