Today is a day to give thought to the hard working guys who carry stuff from a to b at all times of day in all weathers. Give them a friendly wave instead of the usual gestures you might consider, and remember, when they are driving right up your backside, it is only because they have targets to meet.

Watch out for the one with the wood-chips flying around as he drives :)

My favourite is when they take 3 miles to pass each other on the A42, both bouncing off their limiters, and sod anyone who wants to go quicker than 56.

I was following one a few weeks ago who was desperate to overtake a fellow trucker (that was doing the same speed). We followed for miles. When he finally got past, the bloke in the golf who'd been at the front of the following queue, casually pulled into the inside lane and gradually bought the 2 truckers to a halt. I know it made him no better than them but I did have to chuckle to myself as I got back up to speed.

    We love them really.

Truck drivers are no different to any drive there are good and bad.

i would have run into the back off him and took the punishment - i accidently blocked someone in once and he did that in the middle lane at full speed, he stopped so suddenly in front of me i had to anchor up and it nearly caused a very nasty one in busy traffic , the police were called not by me - 4 car drivers and six lorrys pulled up , they had all witnessed it he was caught and fined for dangerous driving - copper said no action would have been taken by them against me if a accident had occurred and he would likely be imprisoned as a outcome depending on the severity the crash-

No forum etiquette? Please get over yourself.
No road sense? Why do all professional drivers think they're gods gift?
No-one was endangered, the bloke slowed very gradually. I saw it more as a "you waste my time, I'll waste your's" gesture than aggression.
    Stupid? Undoubtably.
Funny? I though so at the time.
    Bye.

Ps. I can see you looking
    ;-)

  19. Settle down, lads...

    Un-ignore him, PT - we're kidding ;)

Funny how the fact that he disagrees with 1 thing I write gets me ignored. I guess I'm supposed to feel upset about that?
Love people taking the moral high ground.
Disagree with me by all means. Ignore me by all means. I've got broad shoulders.
